Measurements: 66 inches long, 34 inches wide, and 23 inches tall.
Features: Solid live-edge maple coffee table constructed from reclaimed New York wood. The top is a single 2 1/2 inch thick slab and the legs are also 2 1/2 inches thick and come from the same tree.
This table's story: The wood for this table came from a three-foot diameter tree in upstate New York that was cut, slabbed and left to dry naturally in a barn for eight years - until we found it. The slab was carefully flattened with a router sled to guarantee a true level surface.
To finish the piece I've used a deep black epoxy to fill all natural cracks and voids, followed by a satin clear epoxy topcoat.
It's a time-intensive process, but I prefer it because it results in an exceptionally durable and beautiful finish.
